Simon Tayler

Simon Tayler is a sculptor whose practice bridges the organic and the mechanical through a series of formal and material experiments. Following a successful career in film and television as a special effects designer, Tayler has returned to his first love — sculpture — establishing a new studio in Thrupp after relocating from London to Stroud. His work explores the relationship between form, texture, and process, often blurring the boundaries between engineered precision and natural growth. A graduate of the Liverpool School of Art with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art Sculpture and recipient of the prestigious John Moores Postgraduate Scholarship, Tayler brings both technical mastery and creative curiosity to his practice, producing works that are as tactile as they are conceptually refined.
