This curated selection of mostly new works by Christy Burdock are studies of socio-political issues and power structures at work in the lives of everyday people. Visualised through large scale intricately detailed paintings the artist explores topics such as identity politics, corruption, gender issues in the workplace, populism and religion.


During lockdown caused by the COVID-19 global pandemic the artist was advised to be 'extra cautious'; From this new works emerged responding to isolation and the impending economic crisis affecting many artists.
